What is Go Far Fitness for?

Go Far Fitness is a FUNctional fitness program designed to elevate one's fitness and health.

GFF is universally scalable. There are no age, background, or fitness level requirements to get started.

For each workout, we offer scaling options for beginners, intermediate, and advanced athletes. These scaling options preserve the intended stimuli despite the athlete's limitations such as experience, injury, illness or range of motion.

Each daily GFF workout will also include a "Substitute" and "Traveler" workout variation. The Substitute variation is our suggested modified version of the daily GFF workout for those who have minimal equipment. The Traveler variation is our recommended modified version of the daily GFF workout for those of us that are on the road staying in hotels or resorts.

What are the different packages? Which one is right for me?

FUNctional – go far with your fitness through fun, functional training.
The Go Far FUNctional Fitness plan provides you with a daily workout, leveled scaling options, workout variations, and pro-tips from Stacie Tovar. Designed for individuals looking to go far with their fitness through only 60 minutes or less of training a day.

Competitor – go farther with your fitness in competition.
The Go Far Competitor Fitness plan takes our FUNctional plan to the competition floor. This plan includes the GFF daily workout, workout features, and additional work designed to prepare you for competition. Requires 1-2 hours of training a day.

Coach – further your business and community.
The Go Far Coach plan is for the coach, personal trainer or affiliate looking to further their business and community. You'll receive the daily GFF workouts and features a week in advanced along with directions on how to structure classes with corresponding workout timelines. With this plan, you'll be able to give your community, clients, and athletes the desired experience they deserve.

What will the GFF programming look like?

All FUNctional daily workouts are designed and written at Level 3 (advanced option) before scaling them back. This allows you to assess the prescribed workout first and then scale if needed through the different scaling options. An example of our programming would be written out like this - Level 3-Advanced at the top followed by Level 2-Intermediate, and Level 1-Beginner. See the right column for a visual example.

What else is included in the GFF membership plans?

Along with the daily workouts, leveled scaling options, workout variations, AND Go Far with Tovar pro-tips, you'll receive:

When is each day's workout posted?

FUNctional - posted at 6 p.m. CST the night before.
Competitor - A week's worth of programming and accessory work are posted every Sunday at 6 p.m. CST before the following week.
Coach - A week's worth of programming, timelines, and class structures are sent out every Thursday before the following week.

How do I submit my daily workout scores?

To submit your score, be sure to sign into class on Wodify each day! Then go to "Add Results" to enter your score. The daily class opens at 12:00 a.m. CST and closes at 11:59 p.m. CST, but you can come back to enter your score the next day as long as you are signed in! (Super handy for you shift workers!) If you miss sign-in, hit us up in the private Members Only Facebook group, and we'll take care of you!

I'm a competitor. Where do I submit my scores?

Competitors should definitely share their scores in the private Competitors Only Facebook group. You should also submit your score for Part A on the FUNctional Fitness whiteboard in Wodify - you'll just need to sign in to class first! We do ask that you only post results from the other sections of your training in the Competitor Facebook group. Thanks!

Every day has a workout posted! When do I rest?!?!

We program workouts 7 days a week, but nobody can go all out every single day. And some of us only want to spend 5 days a week in the gym.
Thursday workouts are always designed to be active recovery days; the focus is on skill work, quality movement, and generally clearing out the cobwebs. Keep that blood pumping and get ready for action on Friday!
Ultimately, it is up to you to monitor how your body is recovering, and rest accordingly. Take a rest day whenever you feel is best. You won't ruin your progress by taking 1-2 full rest days a week - just make sure you don't start cherry-picking!
If you are looking for ideas on how to lower the intensity for active recovery days or how you know when it's time to rest, our private Facebook group is an excellent place for those questions!

What equipment do I absolutely NEED to follow GFF?

If you have access to a functional fitness gym for these workouts, you'll most likely be covered! Common equipment you'll see in our workouts are dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells, medicine balls, pull-up bars, gymnastics rings, plyo boxes, rowing ergs, air bikes, etc.
If you are working out at home and only have a jump rope and a pair of dumbbells, we have you covered too! Each daily GFF workout will have a "Sub" workout variation. The Sub variation is our suggested modified version of the daily GFF workout for those who have minimal equipment. When in doubt, get creative! Water jugs, bags of pet food, a dictionary, a sleeping child (maybe not this one…), or even a shoe can all make great makeshift implements. Our private Facebook group is a great place to ask for further guidance on substitutions!

I'm soooo busy! Can I do this?

If you had time to read these FAQs, you had time to train today!
Our FUNctional Fitness plan is designed for individuals looking to go far with their fitness through only 60 minutes or less of training a day. Depending on how long you take to warm up, you can usually get in a great sweat in only 30-45 minutes!

What if I'm injured? Or pregnant?

Our leveled scaling options include useful options for beginners, intermediate, and advanced athletes. These scaling options preserve the intended stimuli despite the athlete's limitations such as experience, injury, illness or range of motion. Our private Facebook group is a great place to ask for further guidance on substitutions!

How do I cancel my membership?

Go Far Fitness memberships are set up to auto-renew monthly, but you can cancel your membership at any time. To cancel email support@gofarfitness.com no later than 48 hours before your next payment is due in order to cancel the next recurring payment and your GFF membership going forward.
